Accepted payments methods vary based on your country and region, and will be listed when you make a purchase. We typically accept credit/debit/virtual card payments (for example: VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, JCB, Diners Club, 3DS, etc.) through the established payment processor Stripe. In some countries and regions we additionally offer one-time payments through PayPal, as well as some EU-specific payment options (like Klarna, iDeal and others).
You can read more here: https://vrs.racing/payment-and-security-information
Presently we accept PayPal for purchasing VRS® gift cards and physical hardware. We do not currently accept PayPal for recurring subscriptions, although this may change in the future. Several European payment methods are available for certain customers as well. You can buy a VRS® gift card here, apply your gift card code on your account here, and then upgrade to a paid subscription plan.
VRS® software and coaching services currently focus on the iRacing platform. Our hardware products work with a wide range of simulators. We continue to improve and expand our services and may implement support for other simulators based on demand. Contact us to request support for your favorite simulator.
The permission model in place allows users read and write access to their own data. It allows teammates read access to their teammates’ racing data (but not private account info). It gives coaches read access only to race data of users who have requested a 1:1 coaching session or a group class with them. This read access is granted only for the duration of time after the session is confirmed by the coach and until the session is marked as completed by the coach. The coaches don’t otherwise have access to anyone else’s data. Here is a short video that shows the view of a VRS® coach and when/how they can access a client’s data.
The VRS® platform is a comprehensive online learning platform specifically built for sim racers. It includes a modern cloud-based app service which automatically uploads your telemetry into cloud storage and performs additional processing of your telemetry to make analysis easier and more powerful. Our tools track useful statistics and trends and have a number of collaboration features such as teams[1] , data packs, and 1:1 coaching. We partner with some of the world's best sim racers to give you weekly driving and setup tutorials, setups, ghost files, and driving comparisons.
We also do our best to be a customer-centric company. We listen to our community, offer technical support, and can help you find a good coach.
We use existing identity providers to establish your VRS® account. We also offer a email and password login. You can view our sign up and login options through the Account menu on our member platform.
You can manage your VRS® subscription here.
Pricing for our subscriptions can be found here, along with a rundown of what each of them offers.
Please do not share VRS® setups (including iRacing servers, emails, forums, 3rd party file or setup sharing, etc.) – these are only available for personal use. Instead, you can link others directly to the official data pack page. We invest significant time and effort into making fresh content available for our data packs before the start of each race week including setups, driving data, tutorials, and more. Using our content fairly allows us to continue our work and expand the tools and services we can offer to the sim racing community.
Yes, you can. There are multiple ways to do this:
You can compare yourself with your teammates using the teams feature.
You can take advantage of one of our data packs. We are partnering with some of the best virtual racers to make their car setups and driving data available to VRS® members. You can load up their telemetry in the VRS® Driving Analyzer and compare yourself against them.
If you want to learn directly from the pros, we allow you to request private 1:1 coaching from the top drivers partnering with us for data packs. Group classes are also available.
All VRS® data packs and VRS® data pack files are for personal use only. They are intended to give you meaningful driving analysis as a baseline for your driving practice or a baseline for further setup development. If a teammate wants to use a VRS® setup, please point them to the corresponding VRS data pack page where they can choose the most appropriate subscription for themselves.
Just visit our member platform and open the Data Packs page! You might need an account and a subscription depending on which catalogue you're viewing to get access to the full content.
To get the full experience, you'll need to register on the VRS® website and download the VRS® TelemetryLogger (found here) and start driving, so that you can compare your telemetry against one of our coaches. We think that's the best way to learn.
Note: the above assumes you're already an iRacing member and have the necessary hardware and software to drive in the iRacing simulator.
A data pack is a package of content provided by one of the coaches on our platform and it typically includes:
Car setups (.sto) used by the coach.
iRacing replay file (.rpy), which you can use to study the coach’s hotlap.
Comparison telemetry for the coach’s practice session & hotlap. You can load this telemetry in the VRS® Driving Analyzer and compare yourself against the coach.
Some data packs include a video tutorial where the coach goes into detail of how to tackle each individual turn.
We believe our data packs make for a great self-learning tool, as you can:
quickly get an idea of how the coach drives a fast lap
see their telemetry alongside a video of their driving to see the braking points, driving line and more
go through a step-by-step tutorial
download their setup and drive in similar conditions on the track
go back to the VRS platform and compare your driving & telemetry to theirs and see where you can gain time
And if at any point you are wondering how a coach driver does “X”, you can ask them directly in a Q&A session, which you can request and book through our member platform.
The VRS® Dedicated subscription allows full access to 1 VRS Premium Data Pack OR 1 Team. That team or data pack is your "dedicated" selection and once you make it, you need to wait 28 days before changing it to something else.
The dedicated selection option will automatically come up when you access content that requires you to set it as a selection to access. The selection option will be grayed-out and inactive unless 28 days have passed before you last made a selection.
The Dedicated subscription is intended for those who race only 1 series, or want to just practice with 1 team they're a member of. To get the most out of the VRS platform at a good price, we recommend our Competitive subscription.
We strive to offer as much coverage of the different official and unofficial iRacing series as we can. There are many great coaches and simracers out there, and we want the VRS® platform to allow many of them to offer their telemetry, setups, and tutorials to our community. This can allow us both to cover more series, as well as to give more than one choice for certain series.
So we've partnered up with with teams & organizations like Apex and Altus, and you'll see their data packs alongside VRS® data packs and available through add-on subscriptions.
Yes. See the "What is a "dedicated" selection and how can I change it?" question for more details.
We do our best to cover the most popular iRacing series and cars in the VRS® Premium data packs we offer through our Competitive subscription.
Fortunately for simracers everywhere, there is now a wide variety of cars & series available on iRacing, with various followings. Unfortunately, it is hard to cover them all. We mostly decide what to cover based on general popularity and your feedback. If you want us to cover a series, let us know!
We sometimes offer add-on subscriptions covering more niche, complex, or a less popular series. If we don't cover your favorite series, you can always request a personal data pack from a coach through our coaching platform.
